Strength for Service continues as Advance Fund

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –– Strength for Service, the fund that has published nearly one half million copies of the historic Strength for Service to God and Country book of daily devotions, has been continued as an Advance fund for the 2013-2016 quadrennium. The Advance number 3021221.

There are five ways to give

  1. Give Online:

  2. By Church Offering:
    Make your check payable to your local church. Write the name of the ministry and the Advance code number on the check. Drop your gift in any United Methodist church offering plate or give your gift to your church treasurer, so that your church and annual conference will get Advance credit.
  3. By Phone:
    Credit card gifts can be accepted by phone. The telephone number is: 888-252-6174
  4. By Mail:
    Make your check payable to ADVANCE GCFA. Write the name of the ministry and the Advance code number on the memo line of the check. Send your check to:

The fund not only wants to continue to provide this historic World War II book of daily devotions to U.S. troops, the fund is also in process of developing a new book for fire fighters, police officers and other first responders. That book, Strength for Service to God and Community, will be available in January, 2013.
