MACON, Ga.--David Green Jr., 26, a member of Vineville UMC, spent a grueling 125 days hiking the 2,178-mile Appalachian Trail. In the process, he raised over $13,000 for the Methodist Home for Children and Youth in Macon.
On previous summers, the Eagle Scout cycled 4,500 miles from Seattle to Savanna and 2,600 miles from Austria to Spain. During those two summer bike rides he raised $80,000 for the Macon home.
