Scout in UM troop leads world-wide clean-up effort

LAGUNA WOODS, Calif.–– John-Aaron Bozanic, an Eagle Scout with a Venture Crew of Laguna UMC, was working an underwater cleanup, when COVID-19 hit.

That local project was changed to the “1 Million Pieces of Trash” effort, which now involves Scouts from 21 nations.

As of July 6, 2,132 Scouts have spent 5,358 hours collecting 472,584 pieces of trash weighing 55,911 pounds.

Your local troop can participate. Record your results here. Photos may be shared on the 1,000,000 Pieces of Trash Facebook page.
