ยท Leaders, Ministry To Men

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –– Bari Watson, director of marketing and development for the General Commission on United Methodist Men, has accepted the position of director of marketing at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville.

Watson served the commission from June, 2009, to November, 2010. During that time she established a Circuit Rider society for persons who contributed $1,200 or more to men’s ministry and she recruited 20 members of that society.

She also helped the commission improve the website and led an effort to redesign the United Methodist Men logo.

"I will always be thankful for the time I spent at GCUMM,” said Watson. “I am taking with me wonderful memories as well as special friendships with people across the connection. The commission has a special role within the church. Over the past year and a half, I have seen firsthand how this ministry truly serves people around the world.  I pray for God's continued blessing on it.”

“Bari is a creative and talented professional,” said Gil Hanke, top staff executive of the commission. “She shared those skills with the commission and the men of the UMC; I know she will do well in her new position. We wish her the very best.”
