Webinar Content:  Most active members of the United Methodist Church know that our mission statement is “to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”  The next logical question is “How?” and based on the reports of decline in many parts of the US, it is clear we don’t have a clue.  For the last 15 months, leaders in UMM have been starting Class Meetings, based on the book by Dr. Kevin Watson.  These are not the same small group studies you may be used to, and our delivery model matches our current technology.  From my vantage point, this was Wesley’s way of making disciples, and it gives us the “how” and the “means” to turn us back into a powerful movement.  It is already making a difference.

One of the most essential partners of the General Commission on United Methodist Men is also the least known to most of our constituents: the United Methodist Men Foundation.  The purpose of this webinar will be to inform you about YOUR foundation. The President of the Foundation, Glenn Wintemberg will explain where funds come from, how those funds are used, and the ministries that are supported.  Glenn will also describe the products of the Foundation that can are used at local, district and conference levels.
